Day 79, Wednesday 8 November 2017
A very wet start to the day must have deterred our usual group of Wednesday riders, for while a good number turned up to the meeting point, only two of us were on bikes. After the usual social chat, we went on a short ride around Coatesville and Silverdale. These are rural communities about 30 km northwest of Auckland, and there are many sealed roads winding through the hills, a couple of which I don’t remember having ridden before.
