Today I joined a newly-formed group, Auckland Midweek Riders, for a run up the Awhitu peninsula. I hadn’t met the three others on the ride before. Unlike the ride to Wattle Bay a couple of weeks ago, which took the back roads around Awhitu, this one went directly up the main road and back again. It was a different style of riding, and I enjoyed it.

Distance travelled: 211 km. Total distance so far: 11,944 km
