Day 85, Tuesday 14 November 2017
Out with the usual group of Tuesday riders, intending to have lunch at Whangamata, but the whole town was without electric power today. We stopped at Onemana, a nice little beach settlement just north of Whangamata. There’s a cafe there, but it was affected by the power outage, so we went on to Pauanui for lunch. It started to rain while we were in Pauanui, and we got quite wet on the ride back up the Coromandel Range, but we left the rain behind at the summit and enjoyed sunshine the rest of the way back to Auckland.
