Day 106, Tuesday 5 December 2017.
I last visited Tāpapakanga Regional Park at the end of October, on a solo trip when I scouted how suitable it would be as a destination for a group ride. Although there’s a couple of kilometres of gravel road leading to the park, it’s good quality gravel, and so I had no complaints about taking a group of Auckland Ulyssians there today, even though some of them are gravel-averse. It was a lovely day, and we could see a long way across the Waitematā Harbour.
Lunch was at Miranda Farm, a cafe with good food and coffee, and a friendly manager.
Distance travelled: 239 km. Total distance so far: 15,413 km
