Day 136, Thursday 4 January 2018.
As most people are still on holiday at this time of year, the roads are very quiet and I greatly enjoy riding on them. Today there was a severe weather warning which probably contributed to them being even quieter.
I went to Wenderholm Regional Park, which is the oldest regional park in the Auckland area, opened in 1965. It has a nice beach, forest walks, and a historic homestead. As it was raining lightly when I visited, there were few people around. I’d like to come back here with a pair of walking shoes and explore the area more thoroughly.
Distance travelled: 101 km. Total distance so far: 18,089 km
