I led a group of North Harbour Ulyssians to Omaha Beach today, a small seaside town on a sandspit near Matakana. This would be a lovely place to have a bach, with its white sand beach and location near cafes, galleries and wineries.
Today was gusty, which disconcerted some of our riders as we went up State Highway 16 and were exposed to the full force of the wind on a ridgeline. However, Omaha was tranquil.
