I rode to Ambury Regional Park today, not being aware that motorcycles are not allowed in the park, presumably because it’s a working farm. As I didn’t use the main entrance and parked outside the gate, this didn’t inconvenience me.
The park has extensive walking tracks, although the walk I did, the Foreshore Walk, was not very well marked. The land was a lava flow from Māngere Mountain about 18,000 years ago; now it’s just farmland, with nice views over the Manukau Harbour.
