I decided to climb a local volcanic cone today, and the weather forecast gave me a couple of hours of a break in the rain to do so. Almost as soon as I’d left the house, it started to rain lightly. As I was planning some moderate exertion, I had not worn waterproof clothing, so I stopped to transfer my phone to an inner pocket to keep it dry. I continued towards my destination, hoping the rain would ease. I don’t mind riding in the rain, but I’m not a fan of walking in it! Unfortunately, the rain proved to be persistent, so I cancelled the ride and went home, damper and no wiser.
