Metzeler Tyres organises a free social ride each year. It’s a popular event, with over 100 riders. The route this year went north of Auckland, and finished at the Kaukapakapa Tavern. There was a display of their tyres at the tavern, and they have a raffle draw, but only riders on bikes with Metzeler tyres are eligible for the major prizes.
It was enjoyable riding on the familiar back roads with so many other motorcyclists, and I met a couple of people I hadn’t seen for a long time. I didn’t stay at the tavern after the ride.
