Day 261, Wednesday 9 May 2018
On today’s North Harbour Ulysses ride we tried an experiment. Half the riders enjoy riding on gravel roads, and the other half don’t, so we split into two rides, each with their own rider in charge and tail-end Charlie, and met up for lunch at Port Albert store.
I was on the gravel ride, and although I’ve ridden on all the roads we did today at some previous time, it was a good chance for me to practice my skills. The countryside we rode through was lovely, and the weather could not have been better. A successful experiment.
