Day 263, Friday 11 May 2018
I rode up to Waiwera, a small coastal town north of Auckland. The weather forecast was for a few showers, but there was steady light rain all the way. Once I got to Waiwera, the rain stopped.
Waiwera is known for its hot pools complex, but it has a nice sandy/shelly beach, and I think it is possible to dig a little in the sand and have hot water bubble up. A seawall is under construction, which has closed part of the beach. There was no one else there today.
