I joined North Harbour Ulysses on a ride today. Their Sunday rides have few people in common with their Wednesday rides, and today, most of the bikes were cruisers, and many were two-up, so the pace was relaxed.
We went to the Puhoi Cheese Store, which is an upmarket cafe (and cheese producer) a few kilometres past Puhoi township, ie in the middle of nowhere, on a road which turns to gravel a little further on. Every time I’ve been there they’ve been busy. About twenty of us all turning up at once must have overwhelmed them, as they were still bringing out some people’s orders long after I’d finished eating my food.
