I rode to Sandspit today. It’s a small peninsula on the Matakana River just before it reaches Kawau Bay. The ferries to Kawau Island leave from the wharf at the end. There’s a cafe here, and at the base of the peninsula there’s a yacht club and a holiday park. It was low tide, so the river was not a pretty as it can be.
