Barry Curtis Park

Day 201, Saturday 10 March 2018.

I went to Barry Curtis Park today, a large park under development in the rapidly growing suburb of Flat Bush. There’s a lot of structure in the park, but not a lot between the paths. Historic stone walls add ambiance, and a network of streams surrounded by bush break up what would otherwise be a field (with many small trees planted) over rolling countryside. There is a children’s playground, which has a few sculptures placed through it, and several sportsgrounds.

The plan is to integrate the park into the Flat Bush town centre, which should be complete by 2022.
